If you don’t like my tone, then please delete my comment and don’t respond. Nor do themes in any of these folders show up in the drop down menu.Īlso, it is terrible form to name someone when they’ve clearly chosen to remain anonymous. It doesn’t matter whether it’s in ~/.themes or /usr/share/themes. What file am I supposed to select here? There is no file or folder it accepts even from among themes I’ve downloaded. When I click on the button that says “None” next to the Shell theme, what am I supposed to do? It asks me to select a file from somewhere on my system. You’ve just explained how to remove a roadblock to installing themes. I want to know how a theme will actually be installed, which is literally in the title of this article. The point where you’ve written “Now, you should be able to install the themes as described earlier” should not be the end of these instructions. The whole point of a tutorial like this is that it explains everything and there is no need to ask unless a certain step doesn’t work the way it has been described. I did not understand it completely because you didn’t explain it. ![]()
